Can I renew my books online?

Yes, you can request to renew online. But, if others have requested the book or you have reached the maximum for borrowing a book, the renewal may not go through.

Online Renewal for URSUS & MaineCat Books

  • Go to My Library Account.
  • Login to URSUS with your name and Library Barcode. (the number beginning with 250... or 218... on your USM ID card).
  • Click on Checked Out Items.
  • Select an item to be renewed.
  • If an item is renewed, a new due date will appear.
  • Overdue items, items previously renewed, and items with holds cannot be renewed.
  • Contact the Library with questions, 207-780-4270.

Online Renewal for InterLibrary Loan Books

  • Login to your My ILLiad Account.
  • Click on Checked Out Items.
  • Request a renewal.
  • Contact the InterLibrary Loan Office with questions, 207-228-8449 (Portland) or 207-780-5343 (Gorham).
