I can’t access the library databases from off-campus. What should I do?

Current students, faculty, and staff should sign into MyUSM portal first. Then go to the USM Library databases page in order to have access to USM resources.

If you do not have a USM ID card, you will need to get one at a Campus Card Services office.

Students who are registered for ONLY an online course or courses, can get a Distance Card with a Library Barcode by going to the Distance Card page and completing the form.

Alumni and Courtesy patrons do not have off-campus access to the USM databases.

When requesting materials from other Libraries, you will need to use your Library Barcode. This is the number beginning with 250... or 218... on your USM ID card. If your Library Barcode number does not work, please call 207-780-4270 to see if your Library Barcode has been activated.
