Books requested from the LibrarySearch catalog (Primo) or MaineCat arrive by van within 3-4 business days. You will receive an email when your book has arrived at the Campus Library you selected. USM students, faculty, and staff can always sign into your Library (Primo) Account to check the status of a book request..

  • If you are signed into the MyUSM Portal already, you should simply click on "I have a maine.edu account" and you will see your account.
  • If you are not signed into the Portal, click "I have a maine.edu account" and sign in with your username and password. Then click on your name in the upper right-hand corner and then click on Library Card.

Once you are signed into your Primo account, you can check whether the book is In transit or has arrived. This account will also give you the due date and sometimes the option to renew checked out books.

Books requested via Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) usually take 5-10 business days. You will receive an email when your material arrives at the Campus Library you selected. You can sign into your ILLiad Account, you will see whether the book is in transit, has arrived, or when it is due.
