How do I find an electronic book (e-book)?

Electronic books (e-books) work differently than print books. USM students have access to many, but not all, e-books in the URSUS catalog.
- Click on URSUS Advanced Search,
- For Location select University of Southern Maine Libraries,
- For Material Type select e-book,
- Click on a title,
- Click where it says USM Access, UM System-wide Access, or Maine InfoNet*
*Maine InfoNet Download Library (CloudLibrary) is a free e-book and audio book service.
If you are unable to find the e-book available to USM patrons, you can search for and request a print version of the book from another library through URSUS, MaineCat, or Interlibrary Loan.
