Q. How do I find an electronic book (e-book)?

Electronic books (e-books) work differently than print books. USM students, faculty, and staff have access to e-books that are marked: USM Access, UM System-Wide Access, UMS Electronic Resources, and DownLoad Library (CloudLibrary).

• Click on URSUS Advanced Search,
• For Location select USM - University of Southern Maine Libraries,
• For Material Type select Ebook,
• Click on a title,
• Click where it says USM Access, UM System-wide Access, UMS Electronic Resources, or InfoNet Download Library (CloudLibrary)

If you are unable to find the e-book available to USM patrons, you can search for and request a print version of the book from another library through URSUS, MaineCat, or Interlibrary Loan. Contact us if you need assistance.
